To facilitate new microbiome research on campus, the UCI Microbiome offers consulting services to help develop new projects, connect labs across disciplines, and collect preliminary data. Email email@example.com or sign up below for our weekly Consulting Hour, Thursday 2-3 pm, BioSci 3 room 3011.
Monthly Microbiome Meeting
Join faculty, staff, and students for a monthly meeting to learn about microbiome research on campus. No microbiome experience necessary. This meeting is held the first Thursday of every month during the academic year, 3-4 pm, Biological Sciences 3, room 2120.
The Initiative will sponsor research projects for preliminary data collection and analysis. Open to graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and other staff scientists. Applications for the 2017 UCI Microbiome Initiative Pilot Project Awards are now closed.
The Microbiome Initiative hosts training workshops for microbiome data analysis. The first workshop is in September and will be an introduction for anyone interested in potentially adding microbiome data to their research. Check out our events here!
The Initiative consultants can help with methods sections for grant proposals. Contact us for examples.
The UCI Microbiome Initiative hosts an online portal for resources, workshop slides, reading, software, and other ideas.
