Even though we are learning and working remotely, the UCI Microbiome Initiative is continuing to support microbiome research on campus. Although in-person workshops are cancelled for Spring quarter, we are still offering consulting services. We can help with new project design, writing of microbiome proposals/publications, and data analysis. Time slots are available weekly on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Monthly Microbiome Meeting
Join faculty, staff, and students for a monthly meeting to learn about microbiome research on campus. No microbiome experience necessary. This meeting is held the first Thursday of every month during the academic year, 3-4 pm, Biological Sciences 3, room 2120.

The Initiative sponsors research projects for preliminary data collection and analysis. Open to graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and other staff scientists. Applications are currently closed. See past Pilot Project Awards.
The Microbiome Initiative hosts training workshops for microbiome data analysis. The first workshop is in September and will be an introduction for anyone interested in potentially adding microbiome data to their research. Check out our events here!
